Dog Rooms

At Big Valley Pet Resort, we understand that your pets are part of your family, and we're here to help you provide them with the best care possible. However, we also want to keep an organized space so we ask that you only bring what is necessary for your dog(s) stay. For each pet you board with us, we ask that you only bring:

Food can be wet, dry, or unique—We recommend bringing a little more food than you think you’ll need, just in case we need some wiggle room for your dog’s needs during their stay. We also offer both frozen and fresh food options, but please note we have limited space, so let us know in advance if your pet will require this for a longer stay. 

If you forget food from home, we have house food options to offer, for $4 per meal. Switching food abruptly can cause stomach upset, so we recommend bringing food from home. 

We provide food and water bowls. Please only bring a food bowl if your dog requires a slow feeder to eat. We can also provide slow feeders as requested, or as we deem necessary. 

For nighttime tuck-in or during the day, you can bring your pup's favorite treats from home to comfort them while you're away.

Unless otherwise specified, we give milk bones as nighttime treats to those who do not have a listed allergy and did not bring treats from home. 

A comfort stuffy or a chew toy are most common to keep them company in the kennel. We ask that you do not bring traditional tennis balls or rawhide chews as they get destroyed or may cause harm when not supervised. 

We provide comfortable and warm blankets for you dog during their stay. In order to keep your belongings safe, we ask that you only bring one bedding item per dog and label it with their name.

Please be aware that the item may not be returned to you in the condition it was brought it. Many dogs find it entertaining to rip up blankets or bedding when in their kennels, even if they do not show that tendency at home.
