RESERVATIONS & BOARDING POLICIES
Boarding charges begin on the date your pet (“Guest”) is scheduled to arrive at our facility. Payment in full is due at the time of pick-up, before your Guest leaves our care.
Reservations should be made with at least 24 hours notice to allow for staffing and kennel preparation. Same day reservations may be approved, space allowing, for an additional $20 fee.
We kindly ask that you notify us at least 48 hours in advance of any changes to your Guest’s drop-off or pick-up dates.
If you postpone your Guest’s arrival with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will still be charged for the night originally reserved.
Boarding Drop-off hours:
Arrivals outside of these timeframes may be subject to late drop-off fees or, in some cases, cancellation of the reservation.
NEW: Early Boarding drop off is available from 8-8:30am, for an additional $10/day fee.
Boarding Pick-up hours: NEW
Our facility offers three kennel sizes for dogs. While we take your size preference into consideration, final kennel assignments are based on your Guest’s size, safety, and overall comfort.
Big Valley is a pack-play focused facility. All dog Guests must be able to safely and comfortably participate in group play with up to 14 other dogs, under the supervision of our Pack Leaders. If a dog Guest is unable to thrive in a pack environment, future boarding may be declined. Guests who require additional supervision or specially arranged packs may be accepted at an additional cost.
All Guests must enter the Facility on a leash or in a kennel. The Customer is responsible for maintaining control of their leashed Guest when entering and leaving the Facility.
A guest may be denied future boarding if a Guest displays excessive destructive behavior or aggression toward staff, other animals, or facility property.
For the safety and well-being of all Guests and staff, Big Valley reserves the right to deny service at any time, for any reason.
RESERVATION DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS - NEW
For non-holiday reservations, a deposit equal to two nights of boarding is required at the time of booking. This deposit will be applied toward your final bill.

In the event that collection of unpaid charges becomes necessary, the Customer agrees to pay reasonable attorney’s fees and collection costs incurred by the Boarding Facility.
The Customer remains fully responsible for all boarding charges for their Guest(s), as outlined in this contract. This includes, but is not limited to, boarding fees, requested grooming services, medication administration, food provided by the Boarding Facility, and any damage caused by their Guest during their stay.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK & MEDICAL CARE
Your Guest’s safety and well-being are always our top priority. The Boarding Facility will use its best judgment when making care decisions during your Guest’s stay, and the Customer agrees to be responsible for any expenses that may result.
If your Guest becomes ill or appears to need medical attention, we will make every reasonable effort to contact the Customer first, followed by the listed Emergency Contact (EC) and the Customer’s designated veterinarian. The Customer acknowledges that injuries can occur during normal play, especially in a group environment. The Boarding Facility will assess any injuries that occur on the property and will determine whether treatment of minor wounds is appropriate on-site, whether to contact the Customer or Emergency Contact, and/or whether veterinary care is required.
The Customer further acknowledges that the Boarding Facility does not have staff physically in the Facility between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM. During these hours, the Facility is monitored by an extensive security system that notifies Management of any disturbance. Additionally, a staff member resides on property.
