Early Daycare drop-off, from 8-8:30am for an additional $10 fee is available. Must be requested by 4pm the day before the Daycare reservation to ensure our Pack Leaders have time to add Dog Guest to our pack play groups.
RESERVATIONS & DAYCARE POLICIES
Reservations should be made with at least 24 hours notice to allow for staffing, dog pack group formation and kennel preparation. Same day reservations may be approved, space allowing, for an additional $10 fee.
We kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance of any changes to your dog Guest’s Daycare reservation.
If you would like your dog Guest to attend Daycare on the same weekday each week, you may request the dog Guest be added to our Recurring Daycare List. Please speak with one of our Front Reception team members about this option.
Big Valley Pet Resort is a pack-play focused facility. All dog Guests must be able to safely and comfortably participate in group play with up to 15 other dogs, under the supervision of our Pack Leaders. If a dog Guest is unable to thrive in a pack environment, future Daycare may be declined. Guests who require additional supervision or specially arranged packs may be accepted at an additional cost.
A guest may be denied future boarding if a Guest displays excessive destructive behavior or aggression toward staff, other animals, or facility property.
For the safety and well-being of all Guests and staff, Big Valley reserves the right to deny service at any time, for any reason.
DOG BELONGINGS, FOOD & MEDICATION
Personal Belongings
Daycare Guests spend a majority of their time in a play yard with their pack so no personal items are necessary. If your dog Guest requires a special bed for the midday nap time, you are welcome to bring it but all dogs are provided comfy blankets to lay on over our radiant floor heating, as weather dictates.
Daycare Meals
If your dog requires a meal during their Daycare stay, please bring a labeled container of food and give it to Front Reception at drop off with serving instructions.
Medication
Medication and supplements administration is available for an additional fee. Standard medications are administered for $4 per scheduled dose (regardless of the number of medications) and insulin injections are administered for $10 per dose. All medications and supplements must be in their original container and labeled with the Guests name and dosage.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Customer and Boarding/Daycare Facility agree that the Boarding/Daycare Facility’s total liability, under any circumstances, shall not exceed the lesser of the current market value of a pet of the same species or $200 per daycare Guest.
The Customer agrees to remain solely responsible for any actions, behavior, or damage caused by their Guest while in the care of the Boarding/Daycare Facility.
In the event that collection of unpaid charges becomes necessary, the Customer agrees to pay reasonable attorney’s fees and collection costs incurred by the Boarding/Daycare Facility.
The Customer remains fully responsible for all daycare charges for their Guest(s), as outlined in this contract. This includes, but is not limited to, daycare fees, requested grooming services, medication administration, food provided by the Boarding/Daycare Facility, and any damage caused by their Guest during their stay.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK & MEDICAL CARE
Your Guest’s safety and well-being are always our top priority. The Boarding/Daycare Facility will use its best judgment when making care decisions during your Guest’s stay, and the Customer agrees to be responsible for any expenses that may result.
If your Guest becomes ill or appears to need medical attention, we will make every reasonable effort to contact the Customer first, followed by the listed Emergency Contact (EC) and the Customer’s designated veterinarian. If the designated veterinarian is unavailable, the Boarding Facility is authorized to administer care and/or seek treatment from any available licensed veterinarian.
The Emergency Contact is expected to be available to assist or relieve Boarding/Daycare Facility staff at the veterinary facility if needed. All veterinary and related expenses incurred start with the responsibility of the Customer but will be reviewed by Facility Management on a case-by-case basis.
The Customer acknowledges that injuries can occur during normal play, especially in a group environment. The Boarding/Daycare Facility will assess any injuries that occur on the property and will determine whether treatment of minor wounds is appropriate on-site, whether to contact the Customer or Emergency Contact, and/or whether veterinary care is required.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS & HEALTH STANDARDS
For the safety of all Guests, the Boarding/Daycare Facility reserves the right to refuse admission to any animal showing signs of illness or parasites, including but not limited to fleas, giardia, or severe mobility impairments.
If a Guest begins to show signs of illness after drop-off, Front Reception will contact the Customer and the Customer may be required to arrange early pick-up of their Guest.
If a Guest is suspected of having fleas while in our care, the animal will receive a flea bath at the Customer’s expense.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all Guests, the Boarding/Daycare Facility requires that animals be able to move about the facility independently in order to be accepted for daycare.
*Boarding Facility does not accept unaltered Dog Guests over the age of 2 years old.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
Customers are responsible for providing current and complete vaccination records prior to their Guest’s stay.
Required vaccinations are as follows:
We highly recommend flea/tick/worm preventative treatments regularly.
Owners agree and are aware that vaccinations do not protect against all communicable illnesses that may affect a Guest.
The Boarding/Daycare Facility reserves the right to deny or discontinue boarding services for any Guest without up-to-date vaccination documentation.
Please note that the Boarding/Daycare Facility does not accept home-administered vaccines or Titer Tests in place of required vaccinations.
